Change: It’s a Scary Thing Isn’t It?

Do you embrace change or do you avoid it like the plague? Chances are that you will fall into one of the two categories. Maybe you sit on the fence and choose a little bit of each in your business?

Change is good. It is a positive thing that we all have to face and action at some stage. Whether you welcome it with open arms or you shy away and hide, let’s face it, change happens. It happens all around us on a daily basis; the weather, the cost of living and nature to name a few.

Change often happens for a reason. One day you wake up and think, “Is there another way”? Is it time to do something differently; to break routine, and to explore new options? These are positive thoughts that will lead you to take positive steps toward bringing change into your business.

Why then do many people fear change? Some people thrive on the pattern of things they know. They feel safe and secure in the knowledge that if they do what they’ve always done it will be OK. Is being OK enough? When you do the same thing over and over, perhaps with the expectation to achieve a different result, what in fact happens? Nothing. It all stays the same.

People say that change is as good as a holiday. Why? On holiday you do things differently that how you live in your normal everyday life at home/work. You change your routine, you embrace the place you are in and you typically return as a refreshed soul who is ready to get back into action.

Still not keen to give embrace change? Like some help?

Here are a few suggestions to help you make changes in your business:

* Review what is happening in your business. What’s working, what’s not, what can you do more/less of etc

.

* Break the routine. Choose a new path on your daily journey to get from A to B. Change the “scenery”.

* Do something new or use an alternative approach each day.

* Only participate in activities that add value to you and your business.

* Think of others, not only yourself.

Step out of your comfort zone and into a new realm of excitement, the unknown and new opportunities and challenges. Learn to love change for all the amazing things it will offer you.

Make now the time to turn the page in the book of your business…
